Dam 1 Forest Preserve is a park with many outdoor shelters, picnic tables and wooded trails. Patrons can view wildlife such as deer, geese, swans and other animals or use this location for a family cookout or other event.

Sharing the site with the Evanston Art Centre, the Grosse Point Lighthouse was built in 1883 by the US Government. Since it was the first lighthouse built in this area, it is now a National Historic Landmark.

The Chicago Jewelry School offers a wide variety of courses and programs in jewelry making, aimed at everything from girls' nights out and post-retirement activities to professional training. The school also offers a boutique with student-made wares.

Founded in 1980, Light Opera Works is a non-profit performing arts theater that hosts a number of shows and performances throughout the year. Visitors to the theater enjoy a variety of popular shows and musicals in the 1,000 seat auditorium.
