Visitors can take guided tours of the Conde-Charlotte Museum House originally built in 1850 for Jonathan and Elizabeth Kirkbride. The house is restored with period antiques, and visitors can also see sections of the jail that was on the site from 1822 to 1850.
The 400,000 square-foot Mobile Convention Center often hosts conventions, trade shows, performing arts and sporting events in its Arena, Theater and Exposition Hall. The 10,112 seat arena has a seven story high dome.
At Saenger Theatre Mobile, visitors can attend a range of performing arts events, from rock n' roll bands to musicals. The theater was constructed in 1927 and retains many of its original architectural features.
