Built to honor the local mining history, Miners Memorial Park was opened in 2007 alongside Horne Lake. The memorial includes the names of fallen mine workers of the local mines who died in workplace accidents or illnesses due to mine conditions. Nature trails intersect at the park, providing relaxing strolls in a scenic environment.
