The Oglebay Park opened for visitors in 1928, and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. The park contains two golf courses, 11 tennis courses, walking trails, a zoo, the Mansion Museum, gardens, a greenhouse, an amphitheater, a planetarium, a ski slope, and a lake.
