Atlantic City Boardwalk

In June 1870, the Atlantic City Boardwalk opened as a solution to keep sand out of the nearby residences, and the original boardwalk was wooden pieces 10 feet wide and 12 feet long. That boardwalk was taken up during the winter, but the area has casinos, shopping and amusement part.
