At roughly 10,000 feet heigh, the Sandia Crest Byway allows visitors to take in panoramic views of the Rio Grande, Albuquerque, and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Five life zones are covered on the way up the byway with several climbing switchbacks for a fun drive.
