Morro Rock

Named for its location in Morro Bay, Morro Rock is one of the volcanic hills known as the Nine Sisters. It is a major habitat for rare sea birds, including endangered peregrine falcons. Visitors may approach the Rock in boats but may not disembark for fear of disturbing the wildlife.
