We went in January. First, you must understand it is a small, free zoo and set your expectations accordingly regarding animal diversity and quantity. It was very easy to see all the animals - particularly the wolves and bald eagle. I was glad to see enrichment items were in every exhibit. My son and I especially liked "tree trunk" viewing of Sid and Willow the Mountain Lions. It's the sort of thing you find at much larger, critically acclaimed zoos (like the Toledo zoo). Unlike larger zoos, the animals came to the the front of their enclosures to "meet" you! Additionally this zoo uniquely features a fishery. There are multiple learning opportunities throughout. I'm not sure why they felt the need to have a white tailed deer on exhibit (since you might crash into one on your way there). The grounds, though covered in snow, appeared to be very well maintained. Only one sign was not updated to reflect the new animals in the exhibit. I look forward to visiting when the education center is open. In spring and summer there appears to be a playground and picnic area to enjoy. We'll be back and continue to make donations.
