Opened in 2001, the Charlestowne 18 Theatre offers theatergoers the opportunity to catch new movie releases on its screens. 3D movies are offered in three of its theaters and the facility has two birthday party rooms on site.

Situated on a prairie, Openlands Lakeshore Preserve offers visitors views of Lake Michigan from its beach. There are several paths that visitors can hike through that can lead them to a ravine.

Located near the shores of the lake, Waubonsie Lake Park is a popular location to enjoy a variety of recreational activities. The park features a playground, a covered shelter, and a paved trail for walking, jogging, or other activities.

Featuring inflatable and metal obstacles, Fox Paintball offers visitors a variety of themed paintball fields such as Stonehenge, Xball, Ulimate Air, and woodlands courses. The park also hosts scenario events, tournaments, and team practices.

Filled with interactive displays, Bartlett Nature Center offers visitors the opportunity to learn about the native plant and animal life in the region. The center has reptiles, insects, stuffed animals, bones, and informative posters on display.

A 3,400-acre preserve, the James 'Pate' Philip State Park aims to preserve and protect its diverse Illinois ecosystem. The park is a mixture of prairie, marshes and forest and features a visitor center with educational exhibits.
